My Calm Table started with a trip that changed everything. Wandering through Kappabashi Street in Tokyo — Japan's legendary kitchenware district — we found ourselves spending hours discovering the most beautiful ceramics and tableware we'd ever seen. The craftsmanship, the simplicity, the quiet elegance of it all was completely captivating.
We came home inspired, and a little obsessed.
Bringing it to Australia
Back in Australia, we noticed something: the kind of thoughtfully designed Japanese tableware we'd fallen in love with just wasn't easy to find here. So we decided to do something about it.
